ZEISS Industrial Quality Solutions (IQS) has announced the launch of the new ZEISS INSPECT 3D metrology software. The company says the INSPECT Optical 3D software is a solution for the inspection and evaluation of 3D measurement data.
With this release, ZEISS says that data acquisition is further accelerated and evaluation functions are further improved. The new Autosurfacing app also automatically converts scan data into a high-precision CAD model.
ZEISS says that data evaluation is possible independently of the system, and claims that since its market launch, the software has become the “industry standard” for optical metrological inspection and evaluation. Today, it includes CT-based quality inspection in addition to optical inspection.
For the analysis of CT data, ZEISS inspect X-Ray offers functions that make it possible to display and analyse multiple workspaces with different perspectives of the component in parallel, making defect analysis easier says the company. Another new feature according to ZEISS is the Region of Interest helps to analyse individual parts of a component with different tolerances.
ZEISS claims that with ZEISS INSPECT, it “lays the foundation” for a logical further development of its software landscape. The company says its vision for the software is for it to solve all 3D quality and metrology tasks.
“The ZEISS Quality Suite is a holistic, digital control centre for metrology,” said Christoph Grieser, Head of Global Software Sales at IQS.
ZEISS says that ZEISS INSPECT forms the core of the ZEISS Quality Suite. The platform offers software products and complementary services. Direct access to trainings, updates, news, and apps simplifies daily work in metrology according to ZEISS.
