Vention and Universal Robots Coordinated Motion
Vention and Universal Robots Coordinated Motion (CNW Group/Vention)
Vention has unveiled its latest advancement in robotic control, which is in collaboration with Universal Robots. The Coordinated Motion technology claims to allow users to synchronise motion control across six robot joints and a single external linear axis. This should go on to enable precise tool centre point (TCP) trajectory through multiple waypoints during specific times across the entire robot workspace.
Key information:
- Vention and Universal Robots has unveiled its Coordinated Motion technology collaboration.
- The latest launch claims to enhance robot control, with improvements to throughput and efficiency.
- Coordinated Motion was exhibited at FABTECH 2023.
The Coordinated Motion technology should allow users to streamline operations while also enhancing the company’s applications. Additionally, users can optimise automated system’s cycle times and maintain and track constant TCP, to improve efficiency and throughput by integrating Coordinated Motion between Vention’s 7th axis and Universal Robots’ collaborative robots.
The new technology aims to offer multiple solutions for different types of applications. It can be integrated into robots on a horizontal 7th axis, a vertical 7th axis, as well as in a rotary positioner. This ability displays Coordinated Motion’s versatility and how it can add dimension and value to automated solutions.
"It is a great achievement to show at FABTECH the new coordinated motion software developed in collaboration with Universal Robots," said Anik Roy Trudel, VP of Product Line Management at Vention. "This new innovation exemplifies Vention's and Universal Robots' commitment to providing our users with cutting-edge solutions that streamline operations and enhance productivity. We are excited to empower our Universal Robots' customers with Coordinated Motion and looking forward to sharing the impact it will have on their automated systems."
