Sandvik Coromant's Productivity Analyser tool now offers sustainability features.
Sandvik Coromant has upgraded its Productivity Analyser tool with new advanced sustainability features. The tooling solutions specialist’s platform will now be able to provide precise measurements of energy consumption and the corresponding carbon footprint for a variety of customers in the manufacturing industry.
The Productivity Analyser tool’s new features can offer:
- Energy usage per manufactured component.
- Yearly energy consumption.
- CO2 emissions.
These new measurements will allow the user to optimise their organisation's operations and reduce any negative environmental impacts the company may be contributing to. By analysing machine and tool costs, as well as energy consumption, the analyser can help prepare tailored strategies to promote emission reduction.
Additionally, Sandvik Coromant led a series of trials with a leading automotive manufacturer to test out the new features. The trials found that there was a 15% increase in productivity, as a result of the tool’s analysis capabilities.
