Non-destructive testing and inspection company QC Laboratories Inc has been awarded the Nadcap Certification for computed radiography. The company was given the certification by the Performance Review Institute (PRI), with the award recognising exceptional quality and performance in the aerospace industry.

QC Laboratories is known for its success in identifying defects in metal additive manufacturing parts using computed radiography. Previously, the non-destructive testing and inspection company has been able to detect defects as small as 25 microns. Something which they claim to be crucial when ensuring the quality and reliability of metal parts, especially when made from exotic and refractory metals.
To have received the certification, QC Laboratories had to meet rigorous requirements for computed radiography including stringent technical and quality standards. Additionally, a thorough examination of the company’s facilities, personnel, and processes would have taken place.
