Mahr
Mahr has launched the MarSurf M 410, a new handheld scanner which the company says makes mobile measurement data acquisition and evaluation easier than ever. Mahl says that like its predecessor, the M 400, the M 410 offers a wide range of practical functions and accessories that make measuring profitably easier.
The MarSurf M 410 offers automatic filter adjustment by detecting the surface structure. The company also says that the scanner can easily start measurement programs by scanning a QR code or barcode without typing in extra profile information, with stored measuring programs linked with a corresponding code.
Mahr also says that evaluating the measurement data is ‘childs play’ as the device creates a finished PDF file without having to take a detour via software or a computer. The PDF files can be filled with information directly at the device.
The M 410 features a magnetic 3-point mounting of the probe arm and freely combinable accessories that provide additional process reliability according to Mahr. The company says that this allows users to change the probe arm quickly without tools, and offers additional protection. The probe also doesn’t break in the event of a collision, but releases from the magnetic holder.
Mahr says that to ideally suit its purpose, the display and probe system of the gage can be separated from each other. The measuring instrument can be used either as a handheld device or as a mobile mini-measuring station, such as by attaching the display to a wall using the supplied swivelling docking station.
The company says the alignment or inclination of the touch probe can also be easily corrected using the menu-guided graphic instructions, and the touch display enables ‘easy and intuitive’ operation without prior training or introduction.
