LMI Technologies Gocator 4000 Series Sensors
LMI Technologies has unveiled its new Gocator 4000 Series of 3D coaxial line confocal sensors. The new solutions are compatible with LMI’s existing Line Confocal product portfolio and provide high-speed, high-resolution, versatile and shadow-free 3D inline inspection performance. They also boast a large spanning angular range with a max slope angle of up to +/- 85 degrees, which is ideal for applications in the semiconductor, consumer electronics, and electric vehicle industries.
“The Gocator 4000 Series expands LMI’s line confocal product portfolio with a specialised inline inspection solution designed for precision performance in particularly challenging applications in Semiconductor and Consumer Electronics”, said Mark Radford, CEO, of LMI Technologies.
Featuring a coaxial optical design, the sensors allow for the simple scanning of complex surface topologies with a zero shadowing effect. The lack of shadow allows for enhanced quality assurance levels and more accurate measurements to be taken, especially on steep-angled features, deep grooves, and protruding components.
Key features of the Gocator 4000 Series:
- Up to 1.9 microns X Resolutions.
- Up to 5.0 millimetres fields of view.
- 1920 points per profile for high resolution, shadow-free 3D measurement and inspection.
- Up to +/- 85 degrees max slope angle.
- Limited measurement range: up to 16 kHz+ speeds.
- Full measurement range: up to 4+ kHz speeds.
- Simple mounting and system integration.
- On-sensor measurement tools and I/O connectivity.
