Leuze
Leuze's DCR 1048i OCV sensor.
Leuze has revealed its new DCR 1048i OCV sensor that aims to enhance quality control within industrial automation applications. Combining 1D/2D code reading with optical character verification (OCV) capabilities, the new sensor is particularly ideal for print quality verification processes.
The industrial automation specialist’s new launch works by reading 1D/2D codes within one application while also checking quality levels through the OCV process. Details including best-before dates, batch numbers, and other printed information are easier to determine and reliably check.
Leveraging OCV, users can easily and quickly teach a vision sensor the OCV print quality verification process. The DCR 1048i OCV reliably detects defective printing, after the user has established the threshold value products will be recognised as defective and be rejected.
Simple Vision sensors meet performance, flexibility, and usability requirements seen across industrial automation applications. Not only are they easy to use as optical sensors but are also powerful as camera systems. The Sensor People from Leuze offers this concept as a straightforward introduction to vision technology.
