The Leica DD300 CONNECT
Leica Geosystems, a Hexagon company, has unveiled its new Leica DD300 CONNECT which combines with the equally new Leica DA300 signal transmitter to create a versatile and reliable utility detection solution. The system aims to provide users with the ability to conduct accurate, reliable, and detailed underground investigations to obtain insights regarding the underground network.
The system also aims to be easy to use no matter the user’s knowledge level. Beginners will be able to access video tutorials to gain step-by-step instructions. Meanwhile, experts will be able to utilise the wide range of advanced features available with the solution.
Key features of the new utility detection solution:
- Acquisition frequencies between 33 kHz and 131 kHz, including an 83 kHz frequency for long-distance tracing.
- Compatible with the Lecia DX Shield software, providing easy-to-use tracking tools.
- Users can connect the DX Field Shield app to the device to enable real-time remote data transfer to the office.
“Our portfolio of avoidance solutions ranges from novice, entry-level utility locators to sophisticated, high-end, fully featured locators,” said Federico Bertolucci, Product Manager of the Detection Portfolio at Hexagon’s Geosystems division. “The new Leica DD300 boasts an unmatched versatility, empowering an extended range of users to safely locate and avoid underground utilities. This adaptability significantly enhances both productivity and safety across the different levels of users’ expertise."
Leica Geosystems’ claims that by utilising its new solution, worker safety will be improved. Additionally, with a greater understanding of underground infrastructure, there will be a reduced risk of property damage.
