Landis+Gyr
Landis+Gyr REVELO solution.
Landis+Gyr has revealed that its Revelo E660 system has completed its certification testing with Measurement Canada and the New York Public Service Commission. This brings the advanced energy management platform closer to deployment in New York and Canada.
The E660 element of the system is a grid edge sensor that can stream current and voltage waveforms in real-time, whilst also providing all the metrology functionality of traditional commercial/industrial and wide voltage range metres.
"The Revelo E660 brings high-end, four-quadrant, grid-meter measurement capabilities to the commercial/industrial metre segment," said Chris Calvert, Vice President of Technologies at Landis+Gyr. "By enabling simultaneous, milli-second monitoring of the energy delivered and used, utilities are able to provide real-time insights to customers and have greater situational awareness of demand variability, power quality and circuit-level anomalies."
Key features of the Revelo E660:
- Onboard Gridstream Connect App operating system.
- High-resolution current and voltage streaming to an integrated Edge Intelligence Card.
- Compatible with wide voltage (120-480V) polyphase and single-phase forms.
- Micro arc sensing for the early detection of hot socket conditions.
- Internet-enabled and Wi-Fi-certified.
- Features future interoperability with Wi-SUN-certified network equipment.
The Revelo E660 can be used in AMI use cases assisting with flexible grid management, including supporting transportation electrification, circuit level management, and distributed energy resources.
