Delvitech has announced its collaboration with ultra-high-performance Edge AI Computer provider, Eurotech. The duo will work together to “revolutionise” quality control technology. By integrating Eurotech’s hardware with Delvitech’s patented optical inspection technology, the collaboration hopes to boost the efficiency of assembling printed circuit boards, increase assembly machine uptime, and reduce waste.
The 3D automated optical inspection specialist’s solution is designed to collect comprehensive data to drive neural networks in optical inspection. With the addition of the optical head, the system can capture detailed images processed through the software and use this information to detect assembly or welding errors within the electronics manufacturing process. It can also go a step further by leveraging AI models to detect deviations and trends to prevent future errors from occurring, improving quality assurance.
Eurotech’s hardware comes in to improve the technology by providing the speed and computational accuracy needed to handle the huge influx of data needed for the algorithms to produce the desired outcomes. The integrated solution is both competitive and flexible, allowing it to be fully flexible to meet the customers’ needs.
“In an environment where quality control demands are continuously growing, it is crucial to develop optical inspection systems with optimal performance and partner with providers of state-of-the-art solutions,” said Roberto Gatti, CEO of Delvitech. “Eurotech offers highly reliable solutions, extensively tested to meet our high-performance requirements.”
“Our collaboration with Delvitech showcases the power of our Edge AI solutions,” added Paul Chawla, CEO of Eurotech. “We empower our partners to deliver efficient, cost-effective, and scalable solutions where accuracy and speed are critical.”
While the technology currently focuses on the optical control of boards and semiconductors, in the future, the partnership hopes to expand into more sectors including medical and food.
