Creaform makes automated quality control more accessible with new hybrid solution

Creaform is set to launch its new Automation Kit that will be able to transform a variety of its existing products into “fully fledged solutions” for automated quality control applications. The 3D measurement solution provider’s portable 3D scanner product families, HandySCAN 3D and MetraSCAN 3D, are compatible with the new technology.

The new workstation is outfitted with a collaborative robot (cobot) and allows the user to operate the 3D scanner in both portable mode and automated mode. Creaform claims the new hybrid solution is easy to install and use. Additionally, the technology is compatible with the VXscan-R digital twin environment.
