Bruker Alicona will exhibit its latest developments in smart manufacturing metrology at IMTS 2024 in Chicago this September. The optical 3D metrology specialists have disclosed that its MetMaX 4.0 presentation is the highlight of its showcase at IMTS this year. The latest version of the software aims to “set new standards in automated measurement technology.”
Additionally, attendees will also be able to view Bruker Alicona’s solutions in action elsewhere. Anca, a CNC grinding machine manufacturer, will be demonstrating the precision of its components at its booth, using Bruker Alicona’s measuring system.
Key features of the MetMaX 4.0:
- Automated measurement strategies are created based on product manufacturing information (PMI) data to simplify the measuring process.
- Intelligent measurement planning utilises a digital twin to ensure collision avoidance.
- Round tool alignment uses an optical sensor, an automated nosepiece, and software intelligence to determine the orientation of the cutting edge.
- User friendly with a modern and intuitive interface which aims to boost productivity.
- Offline measurement planning can be conducted once CAD data is loaded.
- Complete automation allows for repeat measurements to be activated automatically.

In addition to the MetMaX 4.0, the recently launched FocusX will make its first major American trade show debut at IMTS. FocusX aims to provide affordable, high-resolution, optical 3D measurement technology to various industries. The µCMM (an optical coordinate measurement machine for roughness, shape and position) and InfiniteFocus G6 (which enables offline measurement planning in CAD) will also be installed at IMTS as well as a collaborative 6-axis robot and a stable optical 3D measurement sensor.
If you are attending IMTS 2024, from 9-14 September, you will be able to find the optical 3D metrology specialists at booth 134744. While Anca can be found at booth 237406.
