Multinational automotive, industrial, and computing company selects Cohu’s Diamondx tester

Cohu Inc (Cohu) has announced that a multinational automotive, industrial, and computing customer has adopted the company’s testing power management solution, the Diamondx platform. The company ordered an integrated test cell solution, featuring the Diamondx tester, configured with the VI100 instrument as well as mixed-signal platform enhancements paired with the semiconductor solution manufacturer’s NY32 handler and cCompact interface.

Key features of the VI100 instrument:

  • Features a four-quadrant voltage and current, combining high-accuracy DC source and measure as well as arbitrary waveform source and capture.
  • Aims to address the increasing complexity and integration of analogue and power management ICs.
  • Boasts an enhanced set of mixed signal instruments, multi-core test computer architectures, and an improved databus.
  • Claims to reduce test time by up to 80% compared to legacy systems.
