Artec 3D declares the success of its outreach program that's helping to drive STEM studies forward in schools. The 3D scanning hardware and software specialist aims to improve technologies in classrooms, a goal that has been accelerated recently.

As part of its outreach program, Artec 3D invited a selection of students to tour its new production facility. The new facility is home to the manufacturing process of the Artec Leo, with students allowed to handle the AI-powered 3D scanner. While the students were using the scanner, they found that the Artec Leo is very intuitive as it allowed students to create lifelike digital twins of each other in minutes.
In addition to the Artec Leo, students also received demonstrations of the long-range Artec Ray II LiDAR scanner. Multiple students asked about future work opportunities after the experience.
To help “feed the curiosity” of both current and future engineers, and help them improve their skill sets, Artec 3D recently launched the Artec Academy. Individuals who join the Artec Academy will receive online lessons taught by industry experts. In terms of students, the Artec Academy is particularly useful as it can teach individuals about the full Artec workflow, from scan capture to data processing. Additionally, students can partake in ‘how-to’ courses on the Artec Leo, Artec Eva, and Artec Space Spider, with training opportunities provided by Artec’s Gold-certified resellers also available.
Two local building engineers were invited to the Luxembourg offices to demonstrate the value of the Artec Academy. Both engineers passed certification exams, having taken advantage of the Academy’s training services.
Looking forward to the future, Artec 3D will continue to work with its partners in the hope of furthering its advanced technologies and giving back more to communities to help the engineers of the future. Aligning with this goal, the Artec Academy will continue to be updated, with more students being invited to Artec’s facilities.
Additionally, the company hopes to inspire users to be creative with its devices through regular webinars. Using the Artec Leo to scan human bodies and create realistic 3D models, which has already caught users' imagination, will be expanded in the future.
